SAVING MARINE MAMMALS

NZ has one of
the highest
stranding rates
in the world.

Over 300 Whales and dolphins strand on

New Zealand beaches each year. Project Jonah trains

everyday kiwis to respond and care for them.

Most strandings involve just one or two animals,

but frequent mass strandings can involve more than 100. 

Without trained volunteers, many will not survive.

Project Jonah is a New Zealand charity dedicated to marine mammal welfare, volunteer training, public education, and advocacy.
