SUPPORTING WILD KIWI

Ensuring kiwi can
thrive in the wild
for generations to come

Kiwi Coast is dedicated to protecting and restoring wild kiwi.

They control predators, revive habitats, and support safe populations.

Their new Kiwi Rehab Centre cares for injured kiwi,

helping them heal and return home. By reconnecting populations

and restoring genetic diversity, they’re ensuring kiwi thrive

for generations to come.

In New Zealand’s Northland, kiwi populations are

increasing wherever communities actively control

pests and protect habitats—proving that local

conservation efforts are making a real impact.

Kiwi Coast unites over 260 Northland conservation projects across 280,000 hectares, helping kiwi thrive in the wild. This collaborative initiative brings together hapū, iwi, and local communities to protect kiwi and restore native habitats.
